The counselor provides and directs therapeutic activities with the
assisted presence of horses.

Marci Brown Gilpin, Equine assisted therapist, plans,
organizes, and directs therapy programs with horses for children,
adolescents, college age, all family members, couples, and coworker
teams. Like other forms of therapy, Marci customizes the content of
a treatment program in accordance with a patient's capabilities,
needs and interests, and assesses the progress of the patient.
The goal of Equine assisted therapy is to help people recover from
or adjust to mental, physical, emotional, or social problems through
recreational activities.
For over 40 years, horses have been recognized and used extensively in Europe for their therapeutic value in helping people of all ages.
